INVESTIGATORS: Lance Wood, Roxanne Rodriguez
REPORTED GHOST ACTIVITY: This is a historic cemetery that has had many reported cases of activity from the sightings of confederate soldiers to a woman in white roaming the location. None of them have been recorded or proven.
INVESTIGATION: Below the well-kept city cemetery a bone yard of long departed Norcross indigent lie silently and unrecorded beneath today’s youth football field. A vast death field of impoverished remains is shabbily buried in shallow unmarked graves… In the late 1950s bulldozers leveled the grounds to make space for athletic fields, the scattered remains of the town’s poorest citizens were never properly relocated.
In the upper area lies in rest the wealthiest of the old town and their families. Soldiers of “The War of Northern Aggression” and the business who helped build the old town. Are they still amongst us to tell a story or to express their anger over the building over their place of rest? Perhaps the curious visitor skips over a smooth rock, once bearing silent witness to a lowly life lost forever in the dirt dump of the dirt poor. Souls of meager earthly means rest in disintegrating death clothes somewhere just below the crust of the overgrown rocky field, unbeknownst to fans cheering above them.
In 2010 Roxanne Rodriguez and Lance Wood with a guest ventured in to the old cemetery and came across some evidence… Could it have been one of the paupers? Or was it one of the more fortunate residents? We could not yet find out. But we will soon return and ask once more for their confirmation.
Here is most of the audio/EVP evidence we captured at the location...
